What is the Jackie-Bichon
The Jackie-Bichon is created by crossing the purebred Jack Russell Terrier with the purebred Bichon Frise. It is considered a hybrid dog, meaning it is not purebred, however the lineage is known. Where as the term mutt is used when a dog has an unknown lineage.

Some claim hybrid dogs are healthier, because you are mixing up the gene pool. Many breeders of hybrids believe in what is called the heterosis effect and hybrid vigor. Vigor means, "Physical or mental strength, force or energy."
The Jackie-Bichon's temperament is that a mixture of the purebreed dogs the Jack russell and the Bichon Frise. the jackie-bichon is a lively,alert and brave little dog. Jackie-bichons are a fearless, devoted and obedient breed like the jack-russell. although there body size is that of a small dog their characterstics and courage is that of a big dog. many like to say the Jackie-Bichon is a big dog inside a little dogs body. The jackie-Bichon loves hman company, it has an independent spirit and if trained properly they are very easy to live with. These bright little dogs are easy to train. This also means that they are mostly fine in the company of other dogs and pets not forgetting that they are very obedient. The jackie-bichon is a very smart dog and although most are very loyal and understanding, some are known to take over if the owner allows it. The only thing this energetic dog needs is love and a right owner
The Jackie-Bichon has a fluffy coat mainly white or cream. Tan, brown or black markings are acceptable and can be any where on the body. Althought the jackie-bichon is mainly white, cream hairs are permitted around the muzzle or eye area. The muzzle should be moderate and not pointed. It has a scissors bite with round dark intelligent eyes and hanging ears that are well covered with hair. The neck is long and the chest is well developed. Its tail is curved over its back.
Health Problems
Males = ( 22cm-34cm ) or ( 8inch-13inch )
Females = ( 21cm-33cm ) or ( 8inch-12inch )

Males = 7-13 pounds (3-5kg.)
Females =7-12 pounds (3-5kg)
Some are prone to watery eyes, cataracts, skin and ear ailments, also epilepsy and dislocated kneecaps. They can be very sensitive to flea bites. Some are prone to dislocation of the kneecaps, inherited eye diseases, deafness, Legg Perthes-a disease of the hip joints of small breeds of dogs
Living Conditions
These are active little dogs, who need a daily walk.   Play will take care of a lot of their exercise needs, however, as with all breeds, play will not fulfill their primal instinct to walk. Dogs who do not get to go on daily walks are more likely to display behavior problems. They will also enjoy a good romp in a safe open area off lead, such as a large fenced in yard.
The Jackie-Bichon can live in an apartment if it gets enough exercise. They are fairly active indoors and will do okay without a yard.
Life expectancy and Litter Size
The jackie-bichon can live up to around 15 or more years. The Average litter size of the Jackie-bichon is 1-6 puppies, this can vary of course but generally the average amount of puppies within a litter of jackie-bichon frise is usually 4-5
